Jan Roughan is a rehabilitation nurse, case management and medical-legal nurse consultant with extensive experience in healthcare operations and administration, healthcare coding and costing, case management, and life care planning. As President of Roughan & Associates at LINC, she leads a multidisciplinary team providing case management, medical billing analysis, and life care planning consultation, as well as expert witness services for both plaintiff and defense bar.

Her career encompasses clinical experience, leadership in hospital operations, healthcare policy advising, and educational program development. Her clients include, but are not limited to Medi-Cal, the U.S. Surgeon General, and the U.S. Congress, and she has served on national boards shaping standards in case management, medical billing and life care planning practice. She is currently Chairman of the Universal Life Care Planning Certification Board and helps set policies and procedures for the group.
